I bought these headphones to go along with my iPod Photo. They come with three different size ear pieces to help them shape to each user’s ears.
The sound quality is quite good if the user is not moving around. The headphones have to be inserted rather deeply into the ear canal to get a proper sound experience. If they are not placed deeply enough, they sound very tinny, with little or no bass.
Unfortunately, vigorous or repetitive body or head motions (eg jogging or shouting) tend to move the headphones around inside the ears. This causes the bass to pop in and drop out.
The headphones also tend to slide around inside the ear canal if/when the wearer sweats. This feature makes the Apple iPod In-Ear Headphones a very poor choice for use while exercising.

Apple should have spent less time making the headphones pretty and more time making the headphones functional. Did anyone at Apple bother to test the product before putting it into production?
